And I missed the humor! Quotes from A Bite to Remember. No wonder he was exhausted. Sure, this is a very beautiful love story, but it’s not constantly focused on that aspect, like in many others. PI Jackie Morrisey has been called to find out who is causing it. Vincent, the easy going funny and smily vampire and Jackie, the serious immortal-hater kind of detective. This book was a perfect stand alone novel. Vincent is a happy-go-lucky vampire but deep inside he is losing everything, the love of life, food and enjoyment but that is until he met Jackie Morissey, the PI Bastien recommended to help him in his problem – someone is sabotaging his stage plays.
Jackie hesitated, then felt her shoulders relax and nodded slowly. She was looking for someone to love her, and he abused that.
